Why does DirtGPS require a cellular iPad?

GPS on iPad is only available in cellular-capable models. Wi-Fi only iPads do not include a GPS chip.

Does DirtGPS work without an internet connection?

Yes. DirtGPS is fully offline-capable. Standard map styles work without signal by default. For high resolution satellite imagery, download your regions before heading out — a PRO feature.

CAN I IMPORT AND EXPORT GPX?

Yes. Import track files from any GPX-compatible app. Export your recorded tracks and folders. Free users get 1 file. PRO removes the limit.

WHY DO I NEED A CELLULAR IPAD?

GPS hardware is only in cellular-capable iPad models. DirtGPS installs on any iPad, but GPS won't function on Wi-Fi-only models. All iPhones are fully supported.
